New Direction for the Mildura Business Excellence Awards
Mildura Tourism and Mildura Development Corporation (the awards auspicing bodies) have considered the future of the Mildura Business Excellence Awards and believe that the establishment of an innovation awards program better reflects the aspirations and directions that many local businesses are adopting.
Mildura Development Corporation is in the process of investigating the creation of the local innovation awards program. Mildura Tourism will step back from the awards’ organisation, but will remain a supporter and sponsor to encourage tourism industry innovation.
Existing naming rights sponsors, Powercor and Prime, are fully supportive of the move towards an innovation awards process and have indicated their keenness to remain associated with the new direction. Mildura Tourism and Mildura Development Corporation are both confident that the change in awards direction will be keenly supported by local industry and will therefore continue to assist sound and innovative business development within our region.
